Frequently Asked Questions

Absolutely! I am an expert-trained clinical pediatric psychologist who treats children, teens, and college-age adults for a variety of life challenges.
Treatment time varies by person. Usually, more than a few sessions are needed to address current and immediate problems, and many clients choose to continue long-term (six months or longer). Clients often continue to work with me as new challenges arise in their lives, or to dive deeper into additional items. I use a collaborative approach with parents, teens, and young adults to help them make a care plan.
Years ago, I billed some insurances for my clients. However, reimbursement was often difficult to obtain despite my completing the proper paperwork, and insurance is not always consistent for families. Additionally, I was required to share notes and pressured to make diagnoses. By choosing to charge out of pocket, you have a greater voice in treatment and can avoid any surprise charges from your insurance company.
Please contact me, even if you cannot afford my rate. I may be able to place you on a waiting list for another clinician on my team with lower rates. Even if that is not the case, I may be able to refer you to therapists who may be able to accommodate your financial situation.
